I am Erik Brooks, and I am proud to be your alderman.

Welcome to my campaign website, where you can learn more about me, my record, my campaign and, most importantly, my thoughts on some of the key issues facing South Milwaukee and the Fourth District.

I feel I have delivered in my first term in office, and I am proud of a number of accomplishments during these first 18 months. Here are just a few:

• I co-founded and remain active as a committee member with the South Milwaukee Downtown Market -- a sign of my commitment to breathing new life back into our city center;
• I launched 4thDistrictBlog.com, a robust source of South Milwaukee and area news that delivers on my promise of finding new ways to keep our citizens informed; and
• I eagerly stepped up during the water and flooding emergencies of 2010, including bringing to life the Fresh Water Days concept -- aimed at helping bars and restaurants impacted by the water main break.

I encourage you to learn more about these and others -- from my role in bringing the Bucyrus International Cycling Classic to South Milwaukee to my work in helping local bars and restaurants recover from the February 2010 water emergency -- on the "My Record" page of this site.

Of course, I continue to look to the future, and I want to do even more to help our city move forward. With that in mind, here is my continued promise to you, if I am re-elected: 

• To work hard and smart on behalf of the residents of the Fourth District and South Milwaukee.
• To represent district residents with energy and passion, providing a strong viewpoint on the important issues facing our district and city.
• To provide a fresh voice and new ideas to the City Council at a time
  when they are needed more than ever.

I promise to do all I can to deliver on these principles, and I need your support to do it. I hope to earn your vote on April 5. Let’s continue to work together to shape South Milwaukee’s – and the Fourth District's – future.
